Wooden signs point down well-maintained paths into the bush at the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary in the Volta Region near Hohoe. The trails wind into the bush where hundreds of Mona monkeys spy on visitors from high above in branches. The sanctuary allows tourists to directly interact with Mona monkeys.

Mozambique: Agreement Signed On Co-Management of Gorongosa National Park
The Mozambican Ministry of Tourism on Tuesday signed an agreement with the US not-for-profit organisation, the Geoffrey Carr Foundation, on the co-management of the jewel in Mozambique's wild life crown, the Gorongosa National Park (PNG), in the central province of Sofala.

Tanzania: The Arusha Manifesto And Conservation Today
Conceptually the earliest national parks for example in The USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa were set up to protect nature and wildlife and human settlement was prohibited in the parks. The belief was that people and parks could not exist side by side. i.e. human activities were banned in parks and only administrators, wardens and game scouts were allowed to live in the parks and visitors could visit and stay but under strict terms and conditions.
