Flash Floods Sweep Away Livestock, Property in Gilgil
[The Star] Several houses, crops and livestock have been swept away by floods in Gilgil town. Tens of residents of Mbegi Estate in the outskirts of Gilgil had to sleep in the cold on Tuesday night after a heavy downpour left a trail of destruction. During the three hour downpour, over 30 sheep and goats, tens of chicken and household goods were washed away. And hours after the heavy rains, some of the homes were not accessible.

Burangi Residents Want Bridge

"Currently, we are risking our lives crossing the flooded river with small canoes to transport products to Malindi and access our houses and schools.
